Once you have reviewed the preliminary drawings and agreed on the general budget, you can move on to the design phase of construction. During this phase, the design of your home is refined and completed.

 Typical activities during the design phase include:

• Reviewing of designs, mark-ups 
• Picking out colors for the walls 
• Visiting a cabinetmaker for the selection and finalization of a cabinet package of your choice
• Selecting appliances from the supplier’s showroom 
• Coordinating the finishing touches at tile and flooring supplier’s showroom 
• Meeting other suppliers, vendors or subcontractors for coordination as well as other requirements. 

We at Cogdill Home Builders, make it a point to schedule meetings at a time that’s convenient for you. If however, you find it difficult to make it to an appointment with a vendor, or visit a showroom, you can view the samples online. We’ll also be happy to have color sample fan decks mailed to you so you can view them at your convenience. 

All you need to do is tell us how you’d like to review different items and we’ll make the arrangements.

We understand that your personal and professional commitments keep you from being present on the site at all times. This doesn’t mean you should have no idea about the way your dream home is shaping up, day by day, during the design phase. 

To keep you informed of our progress, Cogdill Builders of Florida are happy to present progress drawings over the Internet. We are a technology oriented company and aim at creating high-level interactions with you conveniently. 

The drawings will be made available via the Internet for your markup and review. We have found that SoftPlan is a great software application for this process. It will be a very exciting experience for you and, trust us, you will be impressed with its simplicity and functionality. 

All you need to do is install the SoftPlan architectural CAD software. You’ll be easily able to download the reviewer we send you, and proceed with the online markup and review. We can collaborate together and work towards a design you love.

The design phase is the perfect opportunity for you to be imaginative. We are here to collaborate with you and turn those visions into designs. Do you have a new collection of photos and catalogs that inspire you to recreate the same thing in your home? Mail them to us and we’ll do the best we can to include them.
