Gary and Soraya visited our booth at the Home and Patio show, They had already purchased a lot in South Tampa and needed a design that was not too big and not too small. We designed this plan from scratch to fit their lot. In fact we maxed out the width.
At first we had a detatched garage, but when Soraya saw what was left of the back yard, she wasn’t having any of that. So she scratched the detached garage idea in a hurry and directed us to stick the garage on the side of the house in a more conventional manner. This was a definite bonus because when she brings home a carload of groceries, her husband Gary doesn’t have far to carry them into the Kitchen. The depth of this plan is such that they still could maintain a decent size back yard.
We designed the first story to accommodate a decent size Great Room, opening onto Covered Lanai. Directly in front of the Great Room, off of the foyer, is Gary’s Game Room (a.k.a man cave). We then finished off the first story with a Guest Bedroom and Guest Bath that serves both the 1st floor guest bedroom and all first floor guests.
The second floor contains two kids bedrooms, a Master Bedroom with large His and Hers walk-in closets and an efficient master bath. I tried to talk Soraya out of the garden tub and making the shower bigger, but as you can see, that didn’t work. She still can change that if she wants, because that’s how we roll.
One of the best features of the upstairs is the upstairs laundry. No more carrying dirty laundry downstairs. The guest on the first story is on their own with transporting laundry up and down, but hey, they are guests, so were thinking they shouldn’t be staying long enough for it to become an issue.
Big back yard, cool Lanai with large screen tv, Game Room, Kitchen close to the Garage, Gary and Soraya are gonna love it!
